Help With Critical Illness and End of Life
When you or someone you love faces personal crisis, serious illness, or the real possibility of death,
it´s hard to explain what you feel. More than once you ask yourself, “What have I done? Why is this happening to me?”
Friends become distant. Relatives don´t call as frequently. People treat you differently somehow.
Even our most intimate relationships seem confused.
Dealing with a tough diagnosis, working with doctors and other health care practitioners and helping family,
friends and partners deal with treatment is exhausting. Yet, within each of us, there lies the ability to
create the conditions necessary for miracles to happen.
Having the skills to access that inner healer – possessing the ability to provide authentic support for yourself,
a family member, friend or partner – can make an extraordinary difference in their lives and yours.
Therapy can help both the client who is facing end of life as well as their family members to gain insight into the dying
process. When we stop viewing death as an enemy or personal failure, we can begin to dissipate its power over us.
By integrating traditional cognitive therapeutic approaches with alternative healing traditions, I work with clients to overcome
the anxiety, fear, loneliness, depression and sense of loss that may come as the result of facing end–of–life issues
in clients´ own lives and in the lives of those they love.
