Welcome to Steve Moore Counseling

I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California for more than 24 years. My practice serves clients in the West San Fernando Valley, Calabasas and Ventura County, but I do have some people that come to see me from West Los Angeles as well.

Choosing the right therapist for you and your family is a personal decision, but it doesn't have to be a difficult one. I've created this website to help you understand who I am and where I come from when working with clients. I hope you find the information helpful.

Of course, I have years of experience in the "traditional" practice of counseling. And over the years I have incorporated some helpful complementary methods of working with clients. I am an experienced Reiki Master and an initiate into the healing traditions of the Quero medicine people of Peru. So I am able to bring to each client relationship a broad perspective on the therapeutic process, integrating "western" cognitive therapeutic approaches with alternative healing traditions.
